The
Women's Group
In the spirit that is unique to triathlon
Marc Evans has organized supportive coaching community for
age-group women triathletes of all ages.
The program brings like-minded women together
to develop personal friendships, training partnerships and
racing companions.
The workouts are held one Sunday every month.
The training focus is organized and calendared to complement
training plans focused upon regional, national and world
championship Olympic distance events. Those training for
Long Course and IRONMAN events can also participate.
For participants and interested individuals
with coaches this program is not intended to take the place
of your current training program or interfere with your
coach. More accurately it is intended to expand your training
community through organized workouts under the guidance
of an elite level coach.
Workouts are organized to so everyone
feels connected while training focus is tailored for optimal
techniques and specific intensities as competitive events
approach.
Join other Bay Area women triathletes along
with coach Marc Evans for an inspiring training community
of women athletes.

FAQ:
1. How to register? Send
an email to marc@evanscoaching.com and request an Athlete
Profile Questionnaire. The profile provides medical,
athletics and training history as well as, a waiver.
2. What to expect? Each workout
have training themes (see Next Workout Details below) and
technique development. The goal is to have quality workouts,
learn some techniques from Coach Evans, meet other women
and share and learn from one another. These group workouts
do not provide individualized coaching. However,
every workout will contain useful tips. Go with the theme
of each workout and you'll get the most out of it.
3. Do I fit in? There's an
array of experience, ages and fitness. The program is not
for beginners but it does not matter how fast or or
not so fast you are. Rather, that you are reasonably competent
with your equipment and have competed least 3 triathlons
of any length within the last 12 months. Exceptions may
apply - contact Marc Evans.
4. What does Coach Evans expect from
you? a) That you are respectful doing your best
to be on time, prepared with equipment, nutritional needs,
clothing and the like. b) That you understand this is a
group program and not individual coaching therefore, questions
should remain on topic during workouts. c) That
sometimes workouts change due to an array of possibilities
and being flexible and patient is appreciated. d) In an
effort to limit administrative workloads please consult
this web page before emailing or calling coach Evans (thanks).
